2020-2021 Welcome Letter & New School Procedures

A/B schedule information was emailed to parents/guardians of students on August 10th. We also ask that you complete the following forms prior to the first day of school.

Getting Started

All Massac Unit #1 registration tasks can be completed online this year. This includes all forms and student fees. We have created the following video to help get parents started with the online registration process.

Online Registration (1st - 12th Grade Students)

    • Returning Students: If you have already signed up and currently use Alma as a parent/guardian, please read through the help guide or watch the following tutorial video (posted below).

    • If you have not signed up for an Alma account, please fill out the form available at this link - Request Access to Alma, then refer to the help guide or video. Please note: New Alma users (never previously logged into the system) it may take 24-48 hours for new accounts to become active.

In-Person Registration (Kindergarten and New Students)

    • Office staff will be available August 4th to make appointments. In-person registration appointments will be made during the week of August 10th. Please call the school at 524-2243 for an appointment time.

The first day of school is scheduled for Monday, August 17, 2020 for all Massac Unit #1 students.

Student Immunizations & Health Forms

  • Physical forms are required for all new students, kindergarten students, and returning sixth grade students. Blood lead screenings are required of children below the age of six if they have not been previously screened.

  • All children enrolling in kindergarten and any student enrolling for the first time in school are required to have an eye examination.

  • Physical & Vision Exams can be dated within 1 year of Aug. 12, 2020.

  • All Illinois children in kindergarten, Grade 2, Grade 6, and Grade 9 are required to have an oral health examination. School dental examinations must have been completed within the 18 months prior to the May 15 deadline.
