Remind Messages

Massac County Unit School District #1 is implementing Remind district-wide. If you're not already familiar with Remind, it's a classroom communication app that makes it easy to stay involved with your child's learning. Remind is free to use, and you'll be able to get and receive messages on any device.

As part of this rollout, official accounts will be created for each school. All you need to do is follow the steps below to finish setting up your account.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS:

Parents encouraged to plan ahead for emergency situations

It is not too early to begin thinking about putting emergency procedures in place for your child should there be an early dismissal of students, without advanced knowledge. These dismissals might occur as a result of bad weather, a loss of electricity or water, a bomb threat, or excessive heat or cold within classrooms.

Sometimes the emergency may involve only one school, but most of the time, it is district wide. Later in the winter, weather conditions pose problems that may create a need for an early dismissal. When time allows and where contact with parents can be made, the parents of kindergarten children are notified first. Please ensure that the telephone number given on the first day is a reliable number and that numbers are updated with the school office as changes occur.
