Dear Parents and Guardians,
The road conditions have improved a lot over the last two days, but they are still not safe enough for school bus travel on all of our routes.
Due to hazardous road conditions, Massac Unit 1 Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. The district will implement an E-Learning Day. Students should have received instructions regarding their E-Learning activities from their classroom teachers. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or building administrator.
We will re-evaluate the situation tomorrow as we make a decision regarding school for Thursday. If we are able to return to in-person learning Thursday and/or Friday, we will have a full day of school on Friday January 30, 2026 instead of the planned student half day.
