There are likely to be times during the school year when weather conditions will force schools to be closed or to be dismissed early. If the district decides to make a change to the schedule, it is communicated as quickly as possible to parents and/or guardians. Information will be made through the district’s Remind (text message alerts), the district website at www.massac.org, and through local television/radio stations.

To receive Remind text alerts and other notifications from our school, please text the code @franklines to 81010.

Please remember to always call the office (618-524-2243) whenever your child is absent from school. Thank you for your cooperation!

Apples for Education

Franklin Elementary is taking part once again in Big John’s Apples for the Students program. With the help of the Apples for Students program, we can receive computers, sporting goods, science supplies and other teaching tools FREE for our school.

To earn these FREE awards, we simply have to collect Big John register receipts. Receipts dated between Sept. 1-March 2 are valid. Simply drop your receipts in the collection box labeled “Franklin Elementary” that is located in the front of the store. Ask your friends and relatives to drop their receipts in our Franklin box as well.

Bank at School Program

City National Bank - Bank at School is on Friday mornings (7:45-8:10 am). Students may open a savings account at any time during the school year. Packets are in the office.
